THE PROCESS OF OUR INSURANCE TELEMATICS SERVICE

THE PROCESS OF OUR INSURANCE TELEMATICS SERVICE

  • Installation of Telematics

The installation of telematics technology is an effortless process when done by experienced engineers such ours. Usually a small device is fitted behind the dashboard and connected to the vehicles computer port.  Although the installation process is not particularly time consuming or complex, it is vital to be done by experienced hands, as this will ensure the technology is running smoothly and faultlessly. A skilled engineer can secure the device onto the vehicle properly without causing any damage to the telematics device or the vehicle.

  • The Process of Installation

The process of installing the telematics device is quite simple: the customer informs eDrive of their address and one of our engineers will be booked to promptly show up at a convenient date and time. The customer will then receive an email/text notification to confirm the date of installation and a call when the engineer is on his way. Upon the engineer’s arrival at the specified address, each step of the installation process will be explained and the customer can trust their vehicle is in good hands. It takes approximately half an hour for the installation, depending on the make and model of the vehicle. Our engineers take before and after images of the vehicle and these are sent to the insurer. The customers signature is then obtained to state the installation has been complete.
